Schweppes is a beverage brand that was founded in the Republic of Geneva and is now distributed all over the world. It comprises lemonade, carbonated waters, and ginger ales. Johann Jacob Schweppe devised a technique for producing carbonated mineral water based on Joseph Priestley's discoveries in the late 18th century. In 1783, Schweppe established the Schweppes Company in Geneva to market carbonated water. In 1792, he relocated to London to further his company.
