ABOUT THE BRAND

The Lever Brothers brought Lux Soap to America in 1925. It was a white soap packed in pastel colors that was meant to be equivalent to nicer French soaps but less expensive. The Lever Brothers worked with a marketing firm called the Thompson Agency to develop a marketing strategy for the launching of Lux Soap, and they first achieved success by emphasizing the many characteristics of the soap to fulfill customer demand.
